Privacy policy
■NPO Japan Salsa Association (JSA) applies the following privacy policy to personal information collected from members.
１．Definition of personal information
“Personal information” is defined as information that belongs to an existing individual, such as name, date/year of birth and so forth, which makes it possible to identify this individual.
In addition, any other information, which can be used to identify a particular individual by referring to other information, is also considered as personal information.
２．Collection of personal information
JSA may request and collect personal information when a member makes an inquiry.
JSA tells members about the purpose of use, fulfilling any legal and regulatory requirements.
The following personal information will be collected by JSA.
a. Name b. Furigana (Note: Furigana is a Japanese reading aid, consisting of Japanese syllables printed next to a kanji or other character to indicate its pronunciation)
c. Address
d. Telephone number
e. E-mail address
f. Information that can be used to identify a particular individual by combining the personal data listed above
３．Use of personal information
JSA uses personal information of members for the following purposes.
a. Replying to inquiries from members
b. Sending news to members from JSA
JSA shall not release any personal information of members to third parties without their permission except in the cases described below.
JAS releases personal information when required to do so by law or other regulatory authority such as government organization or local government organization.
JSA also releases personal information when it is necessary to do so in order to protect life, physical safety, or properties of any person in case it is difficult to obtain agreement from him or her.
４．Security safeguards of personal information
In order to ensure security of personal information, JSA makes every effort under law to avoid risks resulting from illegal penetration to personal data and loss, falsification or leakage of personal information, requesting service providers to apply every rational, systematic, physical, personal, and technical method.
５．Correction and deletion of personal information
Correction and deletion of personal information stored at JSA will be made in response to requests to the telephone number or email address given below.

７．Changes of privacy policy
JSA reserves the right to change, modify, or amend this policy at any time.
